I was quite surprised to come across this story this morning, especially as the passenger concerned was in the UK at the time.
It’s a cautionary tale for any transgender traveler that, despite what you may think, your rights can still be denied at any time.
If I’d spotted it yesterday at the time it happened I would have suggested she get the police involved.
It has taken 27 years for the truth to be told about that fateful day when 96 innocent football fans lost their lives on a afternoon which should have full of joy and excitement.
My tears today are for the 96 those who were lost, their families and friends, and for all of us around the world who have lived with the memories.
They will never walk alone.
Once again I find myself changing the theme of today’s post after having read something elsewhere that just riles me so much.
This post about the “Gay and Trans Panic Defense” which is available over most of the USA made me absolutely furious.
Not being an American I’d not heard of the “Panic Defense” before, and what an utter abomination of the legal system it is!
